An update about my TreeNets UK journey as we move into a phase of exciting installations and interior in the coming year.
The focus of the last few months months was on site work in Italy, Belgium and UK, the team dynamic, and building the structure that supports the sustainable growth of OhmBrella (the mothership of TreeNets UK)...I rarely find quiet moments to write...but now is a thrilling time. A calm before a storm. This natural evolution into crafting spaces in nature. This purpose led mission. Born from discipline and transformative, ritual life.

I believe when integrity and awareness become the rhythm, tone and focus of a group of people, the outputs can truly become other worldly. My mission is to build worlds and structures within worlds that inspire and promote healing. And TreeNets have become a core part of my daily life, as well as a global trend it seems. With arborists, athletes, climbers, thesbians, circus performers and magicians trying their hand at this emergent craft.

I came across these nets when I was landscaping, working a lot with rope, and building treehouses while living in my forest in the UK. Willy (TreeNet Willys) came on the adventure with me of first showing me his method, then teaching the craft to those that wanted closeness to this rich activity...and the possibilities and opportunities now are taking us on incredible journeys within the journey. We've taught 60 people in a year how to weave, during 3 week-long intensive experiences (Weaving Magic Retreat) and forged fantastic, long term relationships around the world through the community. We've created the first ever certified course in the craft. I've weaved over 20 nets around the world now. Fortune has brought us amazing clients, whom I admire for their bravery and vision, as we develop creative collaborations that begin to stretch beyond the rope into realms of legacy and conservation.

After ten years of practicing and coaching my own system of transformation, leading to me to walk my talk, buying and moving off grid into a forest where OhmBrella was born ... my core activities naturally evolved into being outdoors in nature, with groups of other incredibly creative, self motivitaed, inspiring people. TreeNets UK emerged truly from the company I keep. The way we run projects is the way we run the life system - integrity, wellbeing, awareness, creative expression and playfulness. Improving physical, emotional, spiritual and communal energy is how OhmBrella grew, and are the themes of each day. Vision and creativity are boundless in the right container.

I was a director of design, production and marketing agencies for over ten years. As a consultant and brand builder in my that career, I know that rigour and attentiveness are as important as humour and playfulness in any creativity. With a structure comes freedom. As part of a lifestyle I spent over ten seasons building festivals and working in teams to build worlds of inspiration and immersive beauty. I saw every kind of company structure and physical production and observed the mechanics of people and companies play out.

The weaving of these nets have answered so many multi-dimentional, metaphorical questions for me, about manifestation, space creation, nature connection, fractal geometry, sense of ability and achievement, tension and opposing forces. But also, architecturally and experientially. They are simple in medium and form, slight in visual impression, and yet impossibly strong and supportive, fun and bouncy, safe. Paradox upon paradox, revealed in reality.

As we integrate the nets more and more into other materials like stone, metal or wooden platforms, we will learn how these dynamic structures play a role in every day, indoor life. I will post what I can of upcoming projects and continue to share my inspiration and thoughts where I can.
Its a joy to share this craft with the world, and please get in touch if you're interested in working with me and my team.
Jacob.
